BRIEF PARTNER PROFILE

Ximedes designs, builds and runs transactional software for payment and public transport ticketing systems. Founded in 1999 Ximedes built a solid reputation, delivering (custom) software products to the Fintech and Faretech industry.

Headquartered in Haarlem (the Netherlands), with a development team in Novi Sad (Serbia), Ximedes employs 75 people in total.

PROJECT INVOLVEMENT

As the the ticketing and payment expert on the project, Ximedes has a large role in WP7 by leading T7.1 the booking and digital ticket wallet services and payment task. Further, it also takes part to the related elements of the the MaaS ecosystem (WP2) and demonstrations and proof of concept (WP8) activities.

KEY PERSONNEL

Mr. Jochem Sobering (Male): Jochem works as Principal in the Public Transport department. He is responsible for the technical execution of all our public transport projects. He was one of the people who developed our security in the cloud architecture for public transport. He has also worked on our Stored Value Account (SVA) solution. Jochem is a pragmatic person with deep understanding of JAVA, web and overall IT infrastructure knowledge. He is able to both design and program complex software and manage projects and customers’ expectations in a natural way. He has market experience in banking, public transport, cashless payments. His roles include: project manages, application lifecycle management, requirements manager, architect/software developer.

Mr. Mark Wigmans (Male): Mark is one of our top system architects. He is able to listen to customers and quickly understand what they need and how he can help. He doesn’t need much time to present a first architecture to start the discussion. He understands the transport market as he was one of the system architects for Deutsche Bahn for 2 years working on an new information terminal based on the Ximedes security in the cloud architecture. At this moment Mark is the lead architect of our facility management software that is being transformed to a cloud solution. He is also involved in designing the security architecture of the MASAI folder to store personal data, preferences, travel history and tickets. He has market experience in public transport, payment systems, big/mobile data. His roles include: system architect, consultant, software developer.

Mr. John-Peter Veldkamp (Male): John-Peter is an experienced manager with a strong business and marketing background. He knows and understands the European public transport market. He is responsible for developing public transport activities in the area of public transport ticketing and distribution of electronic fare products. John-Peter also participates in the MASAI H2020 project where he represents Ximedes and contributes with his customer centric input. The MASAI project provides valuable input for MAAS4EU form a scoping, ticketing and payment perspective. John-Peter can bring his day to day practical experience and knowledge into the MAAS4EU project to come up with innovative solutions for ticketing and payment. He has market experience in public transport, internet security, web conferencing, the MASAI (H2020 project). His roles include: sales manager, business manager, marketing manager.
